Focsani is a mid-sized town of approximately 100,000 people, and is 3 hours from Bucharest, the country’s capital.

“Andrada’s Hope” Association has been open since 2004, and is the only organization with specialized services for children with autism in Vrancea County, as well as in the surrounding counties.

The center “Little Prince” functions as a special kindergarten for 25 children, as well as individual therapy for an additional 20 children in the afternoon. In Romania, special education is still a new concept, and this center is the only educational opportunity for children with autism in Focsani, as well as surrounding cities and counties.
